Glimpse of the moon

Today I stayed home sick. I woke up congested as all get-out. As I lie on the floor tonight, the beautiful moon peeked through the clouds for a moment and shone in my eyes. By the time I got my camera it was gone. I sat there for probably ten minutes - ready for it to peek at me again. It never did.

Critter

This morning I heard this scraping, scratching and clawing as I was getting ready for work. There's a critter. I thought it might be birds making a nest in the vent/fan thingy but then it really doesn't sound like that. It sounds like when Lou had that critter in her ceiling that was peeing above her bed. Beano was freaking out and staring at the ceiling. Add this to the landlord's to-do list.

Arg...so cold

The snow won't quit. Met up with Neysa tonight. As we were talking about doctors and sore throats I realized mine was killing me. I thought I was just imagining it. Walked back to the train and passed "The Lodge" which was packed to the gills with middle aged swingers.

Still snowing

It's still snowing huge flakes outside. We came home and rejoiced in our clean house.

Biting puffer

We shuffled off to the aquarium through the tiny pellets of ice hitting our faces and unbearable wind. My parents came unprepared for the cold and nearly froze. The most exciting part of the day was seeing the diver in the big tank get bitten by a puffer fish. She exclamed a profanity, shook the bugger off and then said, "I think I need to go." Last weekend we heard it was supposed to be in the 40s and sunny here for my parents' visit. They lied.

Rock show

This morning the budding rock star gave a performance while the future scientist swung two supermans around his head. I'm off to clean for mom and dad to arrive.

New shirt!

New shirt I got on Monday at said rinky dink mall. Traci and I went to a yelp.com party tonight and drank free Svedka vodka. This photo is before we ended up stumbling to McD's. I learned she likes the big n' tasty.

First day back at work

I took the day off yesterday to enjoy the rinky dink mall with all of the other pre-teens who had President's Day off. Today was my first day back at the jobby job. I came in to find this present from Jill and timking. It even came with a rubber peanut.

Her name is Beano

My cat's name is Beano. I think I got her in spring of 1996. She was a stray that was found in the power plant at my university. Get used to pictures of her.

Dressing

Let's be honest here, I flubbed up the whole blogging thing for a bit and I'm back-tracking. There may be posts that have little more than a picture for the day. Accept it. You'll be just fine. Anyway, we went shopping today at the rinky dink mall. I felt chubby. I don't even like those tennis shoes much. They're like a half size too big.

And a few more birthday

Birthday Pizza Party

Just like the old days! Although the plans changed I wound up having a great time at Piece with my overly generous love bunch of friends. XOXO

Birthdays kinda bite

Today is my birthday. Yeah, so what, I'm kinda bummed out about it. (for your information that's a bite on a chocolate-covered marshmallow skewer)

Ahem. Here I go!

So, uh, hi. I'm Kim. I turned 32 today. I had this idea that I wanted to just keep track of my life for one year. 31 years of my life I have some snapshots from birthdays and holidays along with some random bits of something to remember but I thought it would honestly be interesting to document one entire year's events...even if I think they're utterly boring at that moment...so I could see exactly how I lived, what I did, where I was. I can't tell you if this will be an interesting read or not but at least it'll be pretty honest.
